StirFle-O reads a Spotify playlist, diagnoses its musical personality, and rearranges the track order for a smoother listening experience.
"Stir" (mix up) + "flow" (the flow of tracks). The name carries the wish to stir up your playlist's flow and bring it a different flavour. A retrofit, but let's say the O stands for Optimization or Orientation.

A 100-point score split between selection and order, with feedback.

See your playlist's genre mix and decade- or year-by-year breakdown.
Artist origin map
A choropleth world map showing where your artists are from (data from Wikidata).
Track reordering
Five rulesets (flowing / contrast / workout / chill / discovery) optimise the order.

Lots of people add favourite Spotify tracks to a single playlist as they go — but maintaining the track order is tedious, isn't it? I'd toss songs in without much thought, and when I played the whole playlist back, the transitions felt jarring or the same artist would come up three times in a row. Shuffle is one solution, but it's not very interesting; I wanted to reorder by some specific criterion. That's what made me build this site. …or so I tell myself in retrospect. The real reason was thinking it'd be fun to do a personality-quiz kind of thing based on a playlist. If you find any bugs or have requests, please reach out via DM on X.

Data & privacy
- Only public playlists are accessed. We read track metadata, never your full library.
- No personal Spotify data (followed artists, listening history) is collected.
- Diagnosis results are stored anonymously, just enough to power shareable URLs.
- For aggregate analytics, an approximate location (country / region / city) is derived from your IP address via freeipapi.com (with ipinfo.io as a fallback). The IP itself is never stored — we keep only the derived location.
